    Due to its northerly location, Oslo experiences cold winters and mild to warm summers. Temperatures drop below freezing most days in January, and daylight can be limited to just 6 hours during this period, but there is also the chance to see the astonishing Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights. In the warmest months, temperatures often exceed 20°C, and the it’s not unusual for there to be no darkness at night. The months running from June through to September are popular times to visit the city.
