    Netherlands Holiday experiences

    • You’re never short of luxury hotels in the Netherlands and, as with most countries, they tend to be concentrated in the major towns and cities. This can be a great as a base — with plenty of amenities nearby — from which you can travel out to see the rest of the country. A Netherlands culinary package can be an absolute dream. There are many restaurants within the cities serving contemporary Dutch fare, but there are also exquisite Chinese, Indonesian and Middle Eastern eateries to be found, and a wide range of international cuisine to choose from.
    • The Netherlands is famous for cycling both in and out of the cities — there’s roughly 22,000 km of cycle paths criss-crossing the country. If you’re into cycling a great way to see the Netherlands can be to hire a bike, pick up a map and start cycling, whether it’s through the centre of Amsterdam or across the Hoge Veluwe National Park.
    • If you do visit the National Park, be sure to visit the Kröller-Müller Museum, which houses the second largest collection of works by Van Gogh in the world (second only to Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum). The country has many other galleries and museums, particularly within it’s cities. Rotterdam has the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, while Amsterdam even has a Museum Quarter, housing the Stedelijk, the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum.
    • There are an enormous number of sporting and cultural festivals throughout the year in the Netherlands. These include football tournaments, King’s Day and dozens of music festivals. It’s worth checking what will be on during your stay so you can be sure to get tickets.
