- There is such a diverse array of things to do on your Poland tour package that it’ll be hard to decide what to choose. There are several dazzling cities to visit, each with their own unique attractions. Warsaw, as the capital, has a huge choice of attractions, while Krakow is regularly named as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Gdansk, on the other hand, has many notable historic buildings, while Poznan has a manmade lake at its centre with swimming pools, a water park and even ski slopes.
- The cities are also where you’ll find the most gourmet restaurants, mixing traditional Polish fare with more international cuisine. Take a Poland culinary package and you’ll find yourself touring the fabulous restaurants of the Polish cities and becoming acquainted with pierogi and bigos.
- As well as beautiful urban areas, Poland also has 23 national parks and a variety of landscape parks. Bialowieza National Park on the border with Belarus is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can see the last remains of what was an enormous primeval forest, covering most of Europe. Other national parks have their own attractions, such as the waterfalls of Karkonski National Park, or the Dunajec River Gorge in the Pieninski National Park.
- Poland also has several stunning historical castles in its countryside, such as Malbork Castle in the north. A brick castle, it was built in 1406 and is the biggest brick Gothic castle in the world. Older again is Czocha Castle near Luban, which dates from 1329. Seeing these castles in such rural settings gives you an idea of what they might have been like centuries ago.
